ABSTRACT

Expressions consist of operands and operators, which are the basis of Verilog HDL. The result of a right-hand side expression can be assigned to a left-hand side net variable or register variable. The value of an expression is determined from the combined operations on the operands. An expression can consist of a single operand or two or more operands in conjunction with one or more operators. The result of an expression is represented by one or more bits. Examples of expressions are as follows:
