ABSTRACT
In Chapters 1 and 3, we discussed the utility of dataflow models of computation for design and implementation of embedded multiprocessor systems, and we described in detail certain aspects of the synchronous dataflow (SDF) model. SDF is the first dataflow-based model of computation to gain broad acceptance in DSP design tools, and most of the techniques developed in this book are developed in the context of SDF.
