ABSTRACT
SubMiniature Type-A or SMA is one of the most popular microwave connectors. Because of their smaller size, SMA connectors can be used at higher frequencies than Type-N connectors. The most common application is for semirigid cable and components that are connected only a few times because of the fragility of the outer connector wall.
