ABSTRACT

The D-calculus is used for test (integrity of test vectors) development for digital circuits. The treatment enables parallel description of fault-free circuit (good circuit) and faulty circuit (bad circuit) behavior. In this process the composite logic value D (meaning for detect) is a logical unity for a fault-free circuit and a logical zero for the circuit containing one or more faults. Instead of D, 1/0 could have been used [1–2].
