ABSTRACT
Airplanes became a tool of war in World War I, and they became a tool of commerce in the following decade, the Roaring Twenties. In Europe and America, aircraft were used for entertainment and then as a means to carry mail from city to city. As soon as a single company acquired multiple aircrafts, the need to communicate to the pilots while in flight became a requirement.
