ABSTRACT

A hexacopter multirotor is one of the popular multirotor architectures. It is primarily taken into account in various applications such as professional aerial photography, wildlife documentary shooting, etc. A hexacopter system is advantageous over a quadcopter for the following reasons: (1) it is more aerially stable than a quadcopter, especially in extreme wind conditions, (2) it produces more thrust than that is given by the same conguration quadcopter due to its two extra engines, and (3) it has a more robust architecture than the quadcopter. A hexacopter system can land safely even if one engine fails as long as the other ve engines are active, while the quadcopter cannot do so. A slight yaw effect will be experienced by the hexacopter in such a case.
