ABSTRACT
Forensic science involves the use of scientific and medical techniques to the assessment and interpretation of physical or psychological evidence for legal or regulatory purposes. Forensic science was used and misused in various ways to help the jury make sense out of all the diverse professional discipline details associated with the case that would probably go unnoticed to an uninformed juror or legal authority. The main point being expressed is that forensics science was used as a tool for determining the reliability of the procedures or methods used as well as best practices by qualified experts from various disciplines. Whenever there are more questions than answers, forensic science can function in a manner that facilitates a more informed understanding. The chapter also provides an outline of the book. The book presents a collective analysis and review of the existing challenges and directions for state-of-the-art practices found in diverse forensic settings.
