ABSTRACT

Funeral directors are honorable professionals dedicated to the dignity of humankind in both life and death. Final rites, tributes, and the hallowed dignity of the funeral serve to honor a past life. Memorialization of the dead acknowledges the fact that a life has been lived and has now ended. Opportunities to remember and honor the dead are implemented throughout our profession. We must, therefore, always respect our families’ time-honored traditions while giving enlightened and competent guidance and support to the bereaved [ l l l .
