ABSTRACT

In April of 1974, we met Dr. Ross at a lecture and in June went to one of her One-Week Workshops. Following this workshop, reading, seminars, and workshops on dying, death, and bereavement became the air I breathed. My husband was a great sport and accompanied me most of the time. By September I was doing lectures for college psychology classes at Portland State University, at the University of Oregon Medical School for medical and nursing students, at hospitals and nursing homes for staffs, and two-day workshops in isolated communities for hospital personnel and clergy.
