ABSTRACT
Community education, too, is an integral part of Standard Aftercare. Writing articles for the newspaper, providing speakers for churches or service organizations, and creating opportunities with other groups or institutions (retirement homes, senior citizen centers) for classes on grief and loss issues are all ways of not only educating the community but also training them to be more supportive helpers and friends for the bereaved. Some funeral homes even have a regular radio program on grief issues.
