ABSTRACT

People have so little and make do with so little. We have so much and want always more. When the author visits villages in Africa or Latin America he see often projects in which a small expenditure would make a huge difference in people’s lives. In a recent visit to a village in Burkina Faso, women were involved in a project that would be income earning for them. The main things that were lacking were merely little carts to carry their supplies and basins to carry water, very inexpensive items. There, one realized that every drop of water is precious. Foreign aid and relief agencies can make a big difference. He has seen small programs where people’s lives do change through microcredit programs and health programs.
