ABSTRACT
Although the many activities associated with editing a technical journal certainly
include copymarking, copyediting, proofreading, and comprehensive editing,
these tasks are essentially no different for a technical journal than for other types
of documents [1, pp. 49-81, 107-120, 214-225, 231-246]. Rather than concen-
trating on these activities in this chapter, then, I will instead consider journal
editing at a macro level as the management and operation of all aspects of a
technical or scholarly journal.
