ABSTRACT
A question I have posed to candidates seeking a technical and professional
writing position concerns what they perceive as the difference between a business
communication and technical communication course. Candidates who replied
that they did not perceive much of a difference, other than the type of students,
were bumped down in my estimation. To some degree, this book offers an answer
to that question.
