ABSTRACT

After the lifting of the BASF lockout, the work of OCA W's corporate accountability campaign against the company did not come to an end, as is often the case after victorious union-led corporate campaigns. The union and the National Toxics Campaign (NTC) wanted to continue. OCA W members wanted to create a project which could give something back to the communities that had stood by the union during the lockout. NTC sought to invest in a cutting edge collaboration that could advance the environmental organization's grassroots organizing agenda.
