ABSTRACT

Notes from a therapist and/or physician are considered confidential and are not released without the written consent of the patient/client. Since I was in the military (and considered government property) and under investigation for conspiracy to commit murder, the military police and Office of Special Investigations (OSI) had access to my therapist’s notes at any time. Since I have retired from the military, my medical records are now considered confidential and are not released to anyone without my written consent.
