ABSTRACT

Corruption in Indonesia is systematic and therefore anticorruption movements are of utmost importance. To do so, the Indonesian government has established the Commission for Corruption Eradication, known as KPK, which is a special institution that is responsible for eradicating corruption in Indonesia. However, this commission cannot work alone as the government’s commitment and support to eradicate corruption in the country is also important. The law enforcement and the bureaucracy reform are still insufficient to fight against corruption. In this study, we apply a historical method consisting of four stages: heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography.
