ABSTRACT
I have a story that may make your mind just blow. This is one of those things you don’t talk about in our family that much. My great-uncle passed away this past year. He was 96. And back in the day when he was in the military, he was gay, and they actually did a lobotomy on him. My grandmother told me when I was about 12 years old. She’s like, “Well you know, your great-uncle one time was gay, and he had surgery. He acted very effeminate, but he got married, and he had three kids.” I was like, “Well, I’m not going to question it because they may get suspicious.”
