ABSTRACT

Drawing extensively from a wide range of educational writers and research, Chapter 7 outlines strategies for effective and efficient questioning and assessment. It examines the differences between, and most effective use of, formative and summative assessment, and outlines a variety of questioning and assessment methods. It then explains how assessment can be worked most effectively into the ‘learning to learned’ process. As with all the practical chapters of the book, it also contains a handy list of questions for the reflective practitioner to ask about their questioning and assessment, and strategies for time saving questioning and assessment.
