ABSTRACT
Leadership requires a host of personal characteristics: a sense of fairness, persistence, humor, and humility; the ability to understand natural and social interactions and motivations, etc. Love and respect for all life and for inanimate nature—past, present, and future—is the basic mission of the Society. Action is integral to converting others to necessary lifestyle changes: without such conversion, people may conclude that it is hopeless to sacrifice personally. Graduates would associate with one of a variety of communities to form local groups dedicated to communication, education, and action. The goal of a good environmental organizer is to make all people "combatants" in the struggle for a desirable environment. Good organizers are humble, kind, and clear-headed. They respect those in the community group. Reducing energy resource use in commerce and industry would most likely cause an increase in employment.
