ABSTRACT

Michael Schreiber is the founder of Amalgamated Unlimited, a company devoted to creating new ways to connect creators with the companies that need them. Previously he was editor-in-chief and chief content officer at Credit.com. He's worked at The New York Times, "Frontline", ABC News, TheStreet.com, HBO and was an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. He has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Skidmore College. The route he took from being City Hall reporter on a small daily paper, to eventually running a financial news site was circuitous. He got his first job at a small daily in upstate New York and covered City Hall and wrote two or three stories a day. It was excellent training. From there he headed south to New York City, where after working a series of non-journalism jobs and doing some traveling, he enrolled in the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism to learn how to make TV.
