ABSTRACT
Bullying and cyberbullying are behaviors that sadly are common and are very painful for those children who are targeted. This chapter addresses the roles individuals may play in bullying incidents, the effects of these behaviors, and efforts to decrease or prevent bullying. The motivations behind bullying and cyberbullying are a special focus as this may help school professionals and parents address incidents appropriately and fairly in our schools and homes. We need to make sure that these behaviors are not acceptable, without using zero tolerance as deterrent, so that vulnerable children are protected.
