ABSTRACT
Project managers should be able to trust their project team members to be the SMEs. Unfortunately, project managers rarely get to choose their team members. When implementing a new system, the project team should evaluate the availability of workstations for the end users. A client is an application that enables a user to access the central information store or database. A server is a high-end computer, or series of computers, that provides essential services across a network. Often, they have a dedicated functionality, such as print servers, file servers, web servers, or database servers. A storage area network (SAN) is a remote data storage device connected to servers that appears to be locally attached. As is true of anyone leading an enterprise, project managers need to understand disaster recovery. This refers to how to recover your business from a disaster when the application, data, or the entire system is made unavailable.
