If more than (roughly) a dozen concepts must be evaluated more carefully, then it is common practice to quickly winnow the number to a manageable number using the process of multi-voting described in Chapter 15. Once the number of concepts to be considered is no more than—again, approximately—one dozen, a more formal concept screening approach may be used that is likely to be followed by concept scoring.
