ABSTRACT

Over the past two decades, many Asian countries have made considerable efforts to promote the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to settle international disputes and to ensure that their jurisdictions are in line with international standards in the field of arbitration (D’Agostino 2014). Admittedly, regions such as Hong Kong and Singapore still dominate the arbitration scene, but in other countries in the Asia-Pacific area, interest in arbitration is increasing.
