ABSTRACT
Miller did not start his company from scratch. Instead, he built upon the organization started by his father, Leonard, who founded Lennar Corporation in 1954. After succeeding his father as president and CEO in 1997, Miller has grown the company in new markets, with an enhanced product line and with a different management style, while never undermining or changing its legacy of excellence and integrity. Like other titans interviewed, Miller followed in his father’s footsteps, but also charted his own course. Through his leadership, the younger Miller has elevated Lennar amid a crowded field of home builders and solidified the firm’s presence during challenging times in the housing market.
