ABSTRACT
It is imperative that parents come to terms with, and embrace, the inevitable quest for independence and self-reliance that children are destined to take. In my book Duct Tape Parenting, I dedicated an entire chapter to this topic and provided parents with strategies and tools to help foster independence in children ages two to twenty-two years.
