Think about how you can encourage users to participate in your own digital village by giving them the proper incentives to do so. In my experience, about 25 percent will participate right away, another 25 percent will participate within the first 120 days, and the rest will straggle in when they can’t do their jobs without participating. Don’t wait for the late adopters to get comfortable on their own, as that could mean doom for your plan. Build incentives to participate into your social transformation strategy from the outset.
