ABSTRACT

There have been a few times when I have purposely or inadvertently stepped on a few of my peers’ toes when presenting an enterprise-wide strategic initiative. I’ve learned the hard way that research and the support of stakeholders are crucial to the approval of the plan. I’ve also picked up a few pointers, which I’ve outlined below:

• Your business case should be concise, jargon free, and easy to read. Illustrate it throughout with practical examples drawn from real cases and include reflective exercises at the end of each section to help reinforce the conclusions.
