ABSTRACT
Let’s face it: you could probably succeed at a number of other jobs. As a lawyer, how do you choose an alternative career? I struggled with this question for nearly two years after leaving my law firm. I hadn’t done much productive thinking about what to do next before I left. I had spent long Saturday afternoons reading career books in cafés, but by Monday my plans would be no clearer.
