ABSTRACT
Preface: The work of grief is no stranger to my life. My internship as a family
therapist was with a hospice, and it has been my professional specialty for
25 years.
I have listened to women who have discovered an unknown love-child after
a spouse’s death, and women who have discovered they may have never been
legally married.
