ABSTRACT

According to the above quote, the physician that is perhaps the most effective healer is not in an office but within the psyche of the individual. In the face of complex illness, knowledge of exactly what is out of order and how to regain order is maintained within the individual as unconscious material. This is not a new concept; many religions and spiritual traditions have posited the existence of an inner wisdom that guides and heals:

Furthermore, it has been asserted that this inner wisdom is inherent not only in humans, but in all beings and things in nature:

Thus, the view may be taken that the nature of all things is health, which is maintained by an inherent wisdom of the right operation of all things. In order to regain health, one simply needs to tap into this unconscious store of inner wisdom to view the true origin of the problem and the manner in which it may be resolved.
