ABSTRACT
In the last chapter, the author connects the results of the narrative analysis of the knowledge production on the topic of war rapes (with the special focus on representations and understandings of survivors’ sexuality) and the outcomes from the fieldwork, where those narratives were debated by survivors. The author concludes that the ideas of vulnerable victims, ‘sexually dead individuals’ and collective victimhood are rather the project of intellectual circles than real reflection of the survivors’ experiences. By using theater-based methodological approaches, the author shows that diverse forms of sexuality were not investigated because researches from the field did not efficiently develop and/or employ alternative research approaches in order to shift the paradigms.
