ABSTRACT

Background Notes: Female college students were administered the American College Health Association (ACHA) eating disorders scale as well as a questionnaire that, among other things, measured manic tendencies. In this exercise you will be analyzing the ACHA scores in relation to the total scores on six true-false items on manic tendencies. Examples of the items are: "Have gone for a day with much less sleep than I normally needed and yet still not been tired" and "My mind has sometimes been so full of different ideas that I couldn't keep my attention on one topic for very long." For each statement marked true, a subject received one point. Thus, the scores could range from 0 (all items marked false) to 6 (all items marked true).
