No More Rosebuds: A Perspective on Perinatal Death, Funerals, and Pastoral Care

The purpose of this chapter is: 1) to set forth a perspective on parental bereavement following perinatal death, especially as it interfaces with the role of pastoral care workers; 2) to suggest that the "rosebud" approach to newborn funerals estranges; rather than comforts, many (but not all) parents; and 3) to offer suggestions for personal design of newborn funerals.
