ABSTRACT

This chapter examines a partnership between a large State University and the State Department of Insurance. In this case, the Deputy Commissioner of the agency contracted with me about offering workshops to improve employee online writing skills. The project involved using certain rhetorical theories to persuade individuals to participate. The theories helped in the design and implementation of a persuasive frame for the workshops. The insights gained from this case can help professional communicators engage in such partnerships when teaching project management and design.
