ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how the learners of Japanese students communicate in campus. It shows how they talk about where one come from and how they introduces themselves to someone new in the campus. By asking a Japanese friend or a member of a club at the university how he/she became acquainted with a mutual friend and where that friend comes from. Then telling how they became acquainted with the mutual friend. By making sure to include details when they tell how they became acquainted with the mutual friend. By asking someone where he/she is from; telling someone where they are from; including details about their hometown; asking about someone's hometown; and telling someone how they became acquainted with one of their friends. The chapter explains the tasks such as how to explore the campus facilities, to socialize with friends, to discuss with the local dialect.
