ABSTRACT
This chapter deals with the concept of Maintenance 4.0, under the concept of Industry 4.0, including some associated technologies and algorithms.
One of the main potential tools under these concepts is condition monitoring maintenance, associated with prediction. For this, sensorization of the physical assets, particularly those more relevant to the organization, and the use of up-to-date technologies, including the Internet of Things, the Internet of Services, and cloud computing, are some of the main subjects presented.
Maintenance is one of the four principles in Industry 4.0. This concept also emphasizes augmented reality and holography. Because of the importance of these new technologies, they are discussed in a specific chapter.
Communication technologies, including communication protocols, are yet to be presented, as are the current solutions that can be used in any organization.
