ABSTRACT
One day, the philosopher of science Paul Feyerabend, then teaching at the University of California Berkeley, confessed to a female African-American student his reservations about teaching imperial Western philosophy to representatives from different cultures, who had their own ways of knowing and their own values. She replied: “You teach. We choose.” (Interview with Feyerabend, The Higher, 10 Dec. 1993).
