Aug. f i6th (J In the Afternoon a party2 of us with Cap1 Cook went to the Sea-Shore beyond the plantations on the brow to the right hand Side of the harbour, but we saw very little of the Isles, because it was too hazy.1 We shot a new Certhia* black with a ponceau head & a long stroke along the back. We came to the habitations of our friends, & there George got a present of plantains, Sugar-Canes, & Coconuts, & so we returned on board.
