* Silver Gull Larus novaehollandiaeforsteri. When Footer described Larus scopulinus (Descr. Anim., p. 106) he attributed the painting to Hodges. In view of his comment here that they drew the New Caledonian bird it is possible that folio 109 (Lysaght, p. 298) in fact represents it and not the New Zealand bird Lams novaehollandiae scopulinus.
