ABSTRACT

A company that borrows money must pay regular interest on the loan and repay the debt outstanding on the due date. Failure to do either entitles the lender to take legal action to recover the amount owing. If a company goes into liquidation it must pay all debts in full before preference shareholders or ordinary shareholders get anything.
