Thepreviousthreechaptershaveshownthatthewarhadamajorimpacton mostofLondon'stradeandmanufacturing,buttheimpactwasnotuniform, somesectionssufferedmorethanothers,anddifferentsectorswereaffectedat differenttimes.WhatthereforewastheimpactofthewarontheLondon economyasawhole?Thepurposeofthischapteristopulltogetherthevarious aspectssofardiscussed,toassesstheimpactofthewarontheLondon economyinthe1640s.Itispossibletotracetheapproximatecourseofthe trendsintheLondoneconomyusingqualitativesourcesandgeneralmeasures ofeconomichealth,suchasrentsandapprenticeshipenrolments.
