In higher education (HE) you will deal with a wide range of people, in relation to:
practical issues (e.g. porters; security staff; caterers; ticket inspectors; bank staff);
your wellbeing (e.g. in a health centre; student services; personal tutors; sports staff);
your domestic situation (e.g. partner; family; house mates);
your social life (e.g. other students; students union; leisure industry staff; anybody you meet);
your learning (e.g. other students; lecturers/tutors; technicians; library/ learning centre staff; ICT support staff; mentor; colleagues).
