ABSTRACT

If the world of work is being transformed, the changes starting to sweep through the education system – a structure that has remained little changed at school and university level in more than 200 years – may be even more profound. This is because dramatic shifts in how, when and where the youngest in our societies are educated, will affect the most impressionable globally. The good news is that what happens to education in the coming years has the capacity (for those who seize the opportunity) to make learning for all ages a far more stimulating, accessible and relevant experience.
