ABSTRACT

Introduction1 Different external environments lead to differences in supply chain management. This chapter focuses on the organisation of the supply chain in the offshore oil industry, examining the Angolan and the Norwegian case, primarily the level of integration and contractual obligations between oil-companies and their main suppliers.2 Variations in technology and trust are used as explanatory variables for the supply chain management in the two markets.
