ABSTRACT
We have discussed the importance of creating a culture using the tools of behaviour, systems and symbols. This chapter explores the role of policy and systems in more depth.
The purpose of the organisation can only be achieved through work. Purpose reveals intent; the policy and systems provide the boundaries for the enactment of the how of turning intention into reality. For our definitions of policy and system, see Boxes 10.1 and 10.2.
