ABSTRACT
Preparation is very important in a ditching. All aircraft occupants should be given a briefing before the flight. This should cover the safety features of the aircraft, including location and use of lifejackets if the flight is over water, together with where the exits are. If a ditching then becomes inevitable, this briefing needs to be reinforced so all on-board know what they are doing.
