ABSTRACT
Australian foreign and security policy towards Asia must be examined in terms of Canberra’s broader perceptions of international security and the perceived role of Australia in a unipolar international system. Australian security and foreign policy have been driven by certain constants that are now beginning to be modified to suit the emerging security system in Asia.
