ABSTRACT

Today’s airport management is not only a matter of maintaining and enhancing the performance of a single airport. It more and more targets at developing the airport operator’s overall business from a local infrastructure and service provider towards an internationallyactive enterprise. This forces airports to intensively evaluate the opportunities and threats involved in any international project. This chapter is based on the results of an explorative study of several international airport operators. The research results are presented and discussed to derive a set of success factors for airport internationalization projects.
