ABSTRACT
Spinoza is often seen as an arch-naturalist in religion, and hence as an archreductionist. His identification Deus, seu Natura – God, or Nature – and his identification of his God with an infinite, extended and thinking substance, have been seen as the epitome of a philosophical reduction of religion. God is nothing but nature: pantheism.
